Because of a new data structure, DMI introduced in 2014, the data from 2014 was processed in a new format and DMI Technical Reports 14-08 with data up to 2013 then finished the “old” data format. The “new” data format was for the first time introduced in DMI Technical Reports 15-08.
The purpose of this DMI report is to update the Greenlandic weather observation datasets with quality controlled 2018 data in the new data format, but also include the old data format from 1958- 2013. A description of both data formats is included. It is up to the users of the data to compile the two data sets.
The data series have variable length and characteristics depending on type of station, parameter and many other factors. 88 Greenlandic stations with up to 10 parameters are included in the “old” dataset. 48 stations with up to 17 parameters are included in the “new” dataset.
Similar reports with weather observations from Tórshavn, The Faroe Islands 1953-2018 can be found in DMI Report 19-09.
